What type of Business Licence do I need?
Home Based Business:
If you reside in the City of Leduc and operate out of your home, you are required to have a home occupation business licence. Home based licence requires a development permit and conditions that need to be filled out.
Non-Resident Licence:
This licence is required for those not residing in the City of Leduc.
Commercial Licence:
This licence is required for those who own or lease a building within the City of Leduc.
What are the costs and types of business licences?
Business licences are divided into three categories:
Home Occupation $150.00 plus planning permits
Commercial (local) $100.00
Non-Resident $250.00
Is there a reduction in business licence fees when I do not operate the entire year?
The fees for a new business licence issued after August 31 of each year are one half of the above fees.
Do I require a Provincial Licence?

What happens if I operate without a business licence?
There are specific penalties for operating a business that is not licenced. The first offence is two (2) times the cost of the licence, the second offence is three (3) times the cost of the licence and the third and subsequent offence is four (4) times the licence cost.
